wNDerful was born out of our Founder’s experience in counselling and in person community-based support with people with complex challenges; clients shared their experiences of missing  support and a sense of accessible and safe community.

Our Founder and many of our team are neurodivergent; with diagnoses and self-identified people who have a mixed bag of autism, ADHD, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, dyslexia and sensory processing difficulties.  Many of us go on long and winding paths to find the right support but a lack of training, experience and ND-created initiatives means it can be hard to trust and feel safe with the support that’s on offer

We want to create something that supports people to retain their dignity in difficult situations, have healthy relationships without feeling that they are forced to become a ‘patient’, and to collaborate with their peers in safe, positive and productive spaces.

The idea of support being affordable, accessible and on tap 24/7 from someone who get’s us is something we have worked on since 2020. We are proud to be delivering a solution for our bright and resourceful community who sometimes would just like to take a break from educating people on ‘how we are’.
